EVA Air to Launch Direct Flights to Houston Next Year — Booking Now Open

EVA Air announced today (8th) that it will launch a new “Taipei–Houston” route starting June 19 next year. This will extend its passenger services from North America to the southern United States, with bookings now open. Initially, EVA Air will operate three flights per week, increasing to four weekly flights from July 1. This will be EVA Air’s seventh destination in North America, following New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Vancouver, and Toronto.

EVA Air noted that most Taiwanese travelers visiting the United States typically go to the East or West Coast, with less familiarity with the central and southern regions. With the launch of the Taipei–Houston route, the airline will collaborate with travel agencies to develop tour packages for Central and Southern U.S. destinations as well as Gulf of Mexico cruises. Houston, the fourth-largest city in the U.S., is home to NASA’s Johnson Space Center and the headquarters of many major energy companies. It is also a hub for petrochemicals, information technology, healthcare, and aerospace industries. Once this route is operational, passengers can leverage the extensive Star Alliance network to connect to other major cities in the central and southern U.S., such as Dallas, New Orleans, Austin, and San Antonio.

For the “Taipei–Houston” route, EVA Air will deploy the B777-300ER aircraft, featuring 39 Royal Laurel Class seats, 56 Premium Laurel Class seats, and 238 Economy Class seats.
Flight schedule: Taipei–Houston flights will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays (Flight No. BR52), departing at 22:00. Starting July 1, additional flights will be added on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Houston–Taipei flights will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays (Flight No. BR51), departing at 01:15. Starting July 1, additional flights will be added on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
