Situated between the Central Mountain Range and the Coastal Mountain Range, the Danongdafu Plain Forest Park, through a ten-year afforestation project by the Forestry Bureau, has become the country’s first plain forest. The 1,250-hectare park is equivalent in size to 48 Da’an Forest Parks and acts as a super carbon-absorbing and oxygen-producing machine for nature. With its vast plant coverage, the bureau has even hailed it as “a emerald gem in the Huatung Valley.”
