After its trial period, Taipei’s New Children’s Amusement Park will officially open this Tuesday (the 16th). Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation has specially prepared a comprehensive park guide for the public, hoping everyone can enjoy a smooth visit to the new park!

Tip 1: Ticketing Method

The new park adoptsa “pay for entry, pay per ride”system. The entrance ticket is NT$30 for adults, NT$15 for concessionary tickets (50% off the adult price), and groups of 30 or more enjoy a 30% discount on the ticket price. There are 13 rides, which are priced at either NT$20 or NT$30 based on popularity and ride duration. Visitors can choose their favorite rides flexibly according to their time and budget.

Unlike the old park, which used paper tickets,the new park allows payment by EasyCard with sufficient balance, and one card can be shared by multiple people. The park also has plenty of card top-up machines, so visitors don’t need to queue up to buy tickets, saving a lot of time.

Tip 2: Rides

The New Children’s Amusement Park features 13 rides including a roller coaster, drop tower, and pirate ship. Each ride has its own height requirement. Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation reminds visitors to “measure your height before playing.” You can have your height measured at the entrance, where staff will stamp the number of suitable rides on your hand, allowing you to start enjoying the fun right away.

In addition, the park also offers free indoor and outdoor play areas, sand pits, large slides, and other play facilities. There are also about 120 coin-operated game machines throughout the park, including basketball games that train concentration and hydraulic excavator games that require hand-eye coordination, waiting for visitors to explore.

On weekends and public holidays, there are free performances at the outdoor Taipei Tree Frog Performance Stage. The paid indoor children’s theater on the second floor is operated by the “If Theater Troupe” and regularly stages a variety of shows, providing both fun and educational experiences.

Tip 3: Food and Beverage Services

The New Children’s Amusement Park offers both Chinese and Western cuisine, including traditional Chinese dishes such as beef noodle soup and potstickers, Taiwanese snacks like pig intestines in rice noodles and tofu pudding, as well as Western options like hamburgers and pizza. With a total of 20 dining outlets, the prices are affordable, and you can simply use your EasyCard—no need to worry about park food being overly expensive.

The food court area provides 1,200 seats, along with 60 specially prepared child-sized chairs. Additionally, some outdoor seating areas are available around the park, allowing visitors to dine outdoors like a picnic. The park also has 14 water dispensers for easy access to free drinking water. However, those who need hot water for milk or tea should go to the visitor center.
