The 2022 Tokyo Michelin Guide is released, and the 12 three-star restaurants remain unchanged from many years ago.

The 2018 Tokyo Michelin Guide is scheduled to be officially released on December 1, and the list of featured restaurants was announced today (28th). A total of 512 restaurants have been included in the guide, with 234 restaurants receiving stars. Among them, there are 12 three-star restaurants, the same as last year (2017), 56 two-star restaurants, and 166 one-star restaurants.As for recommended restaurants, there are 278.

Sushi master Jiro Ono’s Sukiyabashi Jiro main branch, Kabuki, Joël Robuchon, and Quintessence have maintained their three-star status for 11 consecutive years, while five new restaurants have entered the two-star list: jKou (promoted from one star to two stars), Omakase Hommage, Florilège, and the newly listed Chuan and Chazenka.

Additionally, ramen award-winners remain limited to Creative Noodle Workshop Ming Long and Japanese Soba Noodles Tsuru.
