The cute craze sweeps through Xinyi District！The irresistible Aranzi Cafe

Taipei’s Xinyi District has so many delicious afternoon tea options to choose from. If you’re planning to hang out with your besties, Pingzi recommends taking Exit 2 of Taipei City Hall MRT Station and heading straight up the escalator at Hankyu Department Store to the 4F. This Aranzi Cafe is an absolutely adorable little shop that girls will go crazy for.

In recent years, Hankyu Department Store has expanded rapidly and has keenly observed the consumer market, so it has set up restaurants on every floor, offering a place to rest for shoppers. Located at the corner of the 4F in Hankyu Department Store is Aranzi Cafe. Even before stepping inside, the adorable design of the storefront catches your eye.

Aranzi Cafe’s cute cakes are displayed beautifully in the showcase, just begging to be admired—they’re simply adorable. Pingzi remembers having visited the Aranzi Cafe flagship store on Ren’ai Road in Taipei with her friends several times. She’s thrilled that there’s now a branch here at Hankyu Department Store, allowing them to take the MRT and enjoy a meal directly.

Aranzi Cafe’s cakes can also be purchased for takeout to celebrate birthdays. If you’re only getting something to go, there’s a dedicated counter on the B1 level of Hankyu Department Store—you don’t have to go all the way up to the 4F to dine. Pingzi chose this location today to enjoy coffee with her besties.

Here, water cups and utensils are self-service.

The interior is quite spacious, with ample space between walkways and tables, making it easy to walk around. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of bright light, creating a very comfortable atmosphere.

The tabletops are decorated with cute illustrations that instantly charm you as you sit down.

Opening the door leads to the outdoor seating area. On a nice day, basking in the sun outdoors is incredibly relaxing, and enjoying a little cool autumn breeze here is a real treat.

Looking out from here, you’ll see the street scene at the intersection of Keelung Road and Zhongxiao East Road—it has a really nice vibe.

The menu adopts a pop-comic style design with Aranzi’s signature flair. The cool blue tones give the whole menu a playful touch.

The brunch set includes drinks, cakes, pastries, and handmade cookies. If you order a set meal, a drink worth NT$100 is included, with any additional cost covered by the customer. Unfortunately, the in-store cakes are only available à la carte, with no cake set options, so Pingzi opted for a single drink and a single cake.

Every plate features cute illustrations of the Aranzi members—so charming that it added a playful vibe to Pingzi’s day out with her besties. No matter how many times she visits Aranzi Cafe, it always brings joy. The illustrations truly have a healing effect.

Each dish comes with a carefully designed illustration of an Aranzi member—attention to detail is key, and these little extras have become collectible treats with each meal.

For dessert, she chose the “Bad Thing” Dark Chocolate Cake for NT$180.

The dark chocolate cake is thick and generous in portion, with a rich chocolate aroma and a sweet layer of chocolate sauce on top. The texture is dense and satisfying—absolutely delicious.

Pingzi’s favorite is the “Bad Thing” series, so she even ordered the “Bad Thing” Tiramisu Latte for NT$115. Her entire set was themed around “Bad Thing.”

The latte is topped with the “Bad Thing” design—how could she bear to drink it? The coffee is smooth and rich, with a hint of tiramisu flavor.

But in the end, she had to dig in—after all, it’s food. So, she carefully broke into these adorable treats. Aranzi Cafe has now opened four branches in Taipei across different locations. Girls who love super-cute cafés absolutely must not miss this one—hurry over to Hankyu Department Store for a pilgrimage.
