Free electric buses on the Dapeng Bay Loop Line during the 4-day New Year’s holiday

To promote electric buses and encourage energy conservation and carbon reduction, during the 4-day consecutive New Year’s holiday, Pingtung County Government will collaborate with Pingtung Bus to provide“Dapeng Bay Loop Line” electric busesfree of chargefor visitors to ride.

In response to energy-saving, carbon-reduction, and green energy environmental policies, bus operators in Kaohsiung and Pingtung jointly launched the “Green Kaohsiung-Pingtung Electric Buses.” In March this year, a total of 22 zero-fuel, zero-emission, and low-noise electric buses were introduced. Pingtung County’s service is primarily operated by Pingtung Bus along the “Dapeng Bay Loop Line.”

The electric bus “Dapeng Bay Loop Line” departs from Donggang Ferry Terminal Station, passes through the Donggang downtown commercial area, travels along Dapeng Bay through various scenic spots, and goes as far as Linbian Railway Station. The entire route connects popular tourist attractions such as the Huaqiao Market known for Donggang seafood cuisine, the Dapeng Bay seascape sightseeing area, and the Linbian Solar Power City. It can also be combined with the Dong-Liu ferry line to reach the Xiaoliuqiu Scenic Area for sightseeing.

The Pingtung Bus “Dapeng Bay Loop Electric Bus” is the only green-energy transport vehicle operating within a national scenic area in southern Taiwan. It runs six trips on weekdays and increases to 20 trips on holidays, offering travelers a great opportunity to experience it. (News source: Central News Agency)
