Admission is now free. The park will be open daily from 9:00 to 17:00, remaining open all year round except for one day — New Year’s Eve.

Shihfen Waterfall Park, home to Taiwan’s largest curtain-style waterfall, has reopened to the public today (December 29) at noon after more than four months of renovation and closure. Admission is now free. The park will be open daily from 9:00 to 17:00, remaining open all year round except for one day — New Year’s Eve.

The New Taipei City Government’s Tourism and Travel Bureau stated that the newly installed Green Corridor Trail is a lush walkway lined with various types of vegetation on both sides. With birds chirping and insects buzzing, visitors can feel as though they are immersed in nature. Not only can guests experience the effects of plant photosynthesis, but the completed Green Corridor Trail also eliminates the need for people to dangerously cross railway tracks, offering increased safety during their visit.

In addition, the park has added facilities such as a nursing room and a tourism information station. After visiting the waterfall, visitors can also explore nearby attractions such as Shihfen Old Street, Jing’an, and the Siguangtan Suspension Bridge. They can even take the Pingxi Branch Line train to travel through stations including Pingxi, Jingting, Lingjiao, and Wanggu, embarking on an in-depth journey through Pingxi. This offers a truly amazing experience that combines the charm of small-town scenery with stunning natural beauty.
