I really want to go home quickly after the New Year’s Eve celebration is over!

The year 2014 will come to an end tomorrow (December 31st). While you're looking forward to the New Year's Eve party and the spectacular fireworks show, are you also worrying about how to get home? The Taipei City Department of Economic Development estimates that a large crowd will gather at Taipei City Hall on the evening of December 31st. To help speed up your journey home, they have specially compiled four MRT and shuttle bus routes around Taipei City Hall.

MRT Dispersal Routes:

1. To Banqiao, Xinzhuang, and Luzhou:It is recommended to walk to “National Father Memorial Hall Station” to enter the station. The walking time is approximately 10–15 minutes.
2. To Nangang and Neihu:It is recommended to walk to “Yongchun Station” to enter the station. The walking time is approximately 20–25 minutes.
3. To Tamsui, Zhonghe, and Yonghe:It is recommended to walk to “Xinyi Anhe Station” or “Xiangshan Station” to enter the station. The walking time is approximately 10–15 minutes.
4. To Xindian:It is recommended to walk to “Nanjing Sanmin Station” to enter the station. The walking time is approximately 20–25 minutes.

Four Dispersal Shuttle Bus Routes:

Route 1: To “MRT Nanjing Fuxing Station”
Boarding location: East side slow lane of Guangfu South Road (between Civic Boulevard and Nanjing East Road)
Route: Guangfu South Road – Nanjing East Road – MRT Nanjing Fuxing Station

Route 2: To MRT “Taipei Main Station”
Boarding location: Bus-only lane and slow lane on the north side of Ren’ai Road (between Yanji Street and Dunhua South Road)
Route: Ren’ai Road – Zhongshan South Road – Zhongxiao West Road – Taipei Main Station

Route 3: To MRT “Gongguan Station”
Boarding location: Slow lane on the west side of Section 2, Keelung Road (between Wenchang Street and Guangfu South Road)
Route: Keelung Road – Roosevelt Road – MRT Gongguan Station

Route 4: To “Muzha and Jingmei Area”
Boarding location: Slow lane on the west side of Songde Road (between Hulin Street and Xinyi Road)
Route: Songde Road – Xinyi Road – Xinyi Expressway
