Located in Yancheng District, Kaohsiung,“American Steak”draws many customers with its super low prices, its unique secret steak sauce recipe, and its retro-style decor. Having been passed down through four generations, the restaurant relocated from Datong Road to Yancheng District in 2009 but has retained its traditional taste, using vintage family recipes to consistently deliver affordable and classic flavors.

American Steak’s menu includes fillet steak, sirloin, thick-cut steak, and pork chops, among others. Among these, steak and chicken cutlets are available for under $100—you can get them for just 80 NT$, while iron plate noodles are 50 NT$. Corn chowder and black tea are both refillable for free, and there’s no extra charge for adding more noodles, allowing you to eat your fill for just a little money!

The sauces at American Steak are all homemade—the steak sauce, chili sauce, and tomato sauce are all passed down through the family’s secret recipes. Online tips suggest mixing the chili sauce and tomato sauce into your iron plate noodles for an especially delicious flavor!
