The New Year’s Day holiday ends today (the 4th), and to handle the large volume of travelers, the high-speed rail announced that starting at 2:24 p.m. today, two additional all non-reserved seat northbound trains will be added in an effort to get every passenger home.

After reviewing booking data, the high-speed rail found that bookings for northbound trains were strong after 2 p.m., so it decided to operate one all non-reserved seat northbound train stopping at every station from Zuoying Station at 2:24 p.m. and another at 7:24 p.m., arriving in Taipei at 4:24 p.m. and 9:24 p.m. respectively. Passengers who haven’t purchased tickets yet are encouraged to take advantage of these services. (News source: Central News Agency)
