A Heartwarming Vegan Eatery Donates 10% of Revenue to Help Stray Animals

What a loving place this is — promoting animal rights, supporting LGBTQ+ equality, caring about social justice, and donating 10% of revenue to help stray animals... Eating here feels like being wrapped in light. No wonder both the owners and the customers are such lovely people (no exaggeration).

The shop is a bit far from the city center, but you can get there quickly by metro, and it’s not far from the station exit. Since I rarely come to this area, the unfamiliar streets felt refreshingly new. As soon as you enter, you see the shop’s black cat, and though the space is small with limited seating, the atmosphere is intimate and cozy. The beer bottle wall behind the cashier is cool, and the shelves display the shop’s own merchandise — things like stickers and paper fans — all cute and designed to help animals.

I wanted to try their vegan burgers — there are four options: Sesame Tofu / Onion Mushroom / Mustard Crunch / Kimchi Crunch (NT$180–220). “Crunch” refers to their homemade vegan patties, but since they’re fried, I ended up going with the Sesame Tofu. By the way, on Meatless Mondays, the burgers are 20% off.

The burger comes with fries and fruit. When eating something as rich as a burger, it’s nice to have fruit to balance the flavors. Honestly, the burger and fries weren’t so amazing that I’d be moved to tears, but I appreciate food made with care, and I support causes worth supporting.
