Top 10 Instant Noodles in Taiwan by American Ramen Enthusiast – 3 Flavors of Laoma Ban Mian Make the List

American ramen blogger Hans Lienesch loves instant noodles from around the world and regularly ranks them. Recently, he released his 2017 Taiwan Instant Noodle Ranking, with Laoma Ban Mian’s Old Chengdu Dan Dan Noodles taking the top spot, followed by Xiao Ban Mian’s Traditional Double Scallion Oil Thin Noodles in second place, and Xiao Chef’s Thai Green Curry Chicken Noodles in third.

Among the top 10 best instant noodles in Lienesch’s ranking, Laoma Ban Mian not only claimed first place with its Old Chengdu Dan Dan Noodles but also secured two other spots in the top 10: Laoma Ban Mian’s Spicy and Sour Mixed Noodles (8th place) and Laoma Ban Mian’s Popular Authentic Sichuan Spicy Mixed Noodles (9th place). Xiao Ban Mian, which belongs to the same company as Laoma Ban Mian—Haoshi Le Food—also made it to second place with its Traditional Double Scallion Oil Thin Noodles, showing that Haoshi Le Food’s noodles really hit the mark with Lienesch.

Also making the top 10 were Kiki and Zeng Ban Mian, which are known as Taiwan’s three most popular mixed noodle brands alongside Laoma Ban Mian. Zeng Ban Mian’s Scallion and Prickly Ash Flavor came in fourth, KiKi Food & Grocery’s Scallion Oil Mixed Noodles took fifth, and KiKi Food & Grocery’s Prickly Ash Mixed Noodles ranked tenth.
