With the cold weather here, it’s once again hot spring season. The annual New Taipei Hot Spring Festival officially kicked off on November 29. The limited “Heartwarming Hot Spring Package” will go on sale on December 1, featuring a small towel plush toy of New Taipei’s mascot dressed in a limited-edition traditional Atayal costume, a Hot Spring Festival discount booklet, handmade hot spring soap, and a complimentary NT$500 shopping voucher！

New Taipei City boasts a variety of unique geological formations, giving rise to a rich diversity of hot spring types, including Wulai’s Beauty Spring, the offshore submarine hot springs along the northern coast, uniquely scented sulfur springs, and iron-rich springs with distinctive colors. These attract numerous visitors each autumn and winter to soak and enjoy local delicacies. This year, the New Taipei City Government has partnered with numerous hot spring businesses to offer a range of discounted soaking packages, encouraging visitors to avoid peak holiday crowds and enjoy the tranquility of weekday bathing—with weekday discounts of up to 65% off！
