Likes can be exchanged for cash! Silks Place Taroko has launched the “Facebook Celebrity Challenge,” using the concept of “likes” as currency. It invites Facebook influencers with over 1,000 friends to leverage their post appeal and exchange the number of “likes” they receive for a discount on a three-day-two-night food and accommodation package. The challenge is open for registration from now until January 31. Registration requirements: 1. Must be a personal Facebook account; 2. Have a high popularity with over 1,000 friends; 3. Love sharing life and enjoy traveling.

Silks Place Taroko will select 10 travel enthusiasts to experience a three-day-two-night holiday in Taroko. Challengers need to focus on five aspects: dining, service, facilities, in-house entertainment, and canyon tours, and choose four themes to post photos and text. By accumulating 1,000 “likes,” they can redeem a free food and accommodation package, which includes canyon rooms, breakfast, light lunch, dinner, a half-day tour of Taroko, and airport or train station shuttle services. Each room accommodates two adults and two children under 12.

During the stay, sharing photos and text that accumulate 1,000 “likes” can be exchanged for a package worth nearly NT$20,000; one “like” is equivalent to NT$20. If fewer than 1,000 “likes” are reached, each “like” multiplied by 20 NT$ will serve as credit for this trip, which can be directly deducted from the accommodation fee—maximizing the use of Facebook.
