The 2015 winter vacation and Lunar New Year holiday are just around the corner—where to go during this long break? The Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau has curated 27 new attractions and selected activities, launching the “Spring Fun in Kaohsiung: Top 5 Family-Friendly Itineraries” featuring five major parent-child travel themes. They’ve also planned a “Five-Day, Four-Night Kaohsiung Getaway During the Holiday” route, and are giving away free tickets to the Korean Teddy Bear Exhibition and the “Black & White & Hero” Action Theme Park Exhibition. Visitors are encouraged to stay a few extra nights and fully explore everything Kaohsiung has to offer.

The “Spring Fun in Kaohsiung: Top 5 Family-Friendly Itineraries” includes five major themes: “Magical Lantern Festival Fun,” “Sunny Harbor City,” “Butterfly & Floral Garden Tours,” “New Art & Creative Culture,” and “Youthful Amusement Parks.” These cover a lively Lunar New Year light festival, large-scale public art by the sea, and parent-child friendly theme park exhibitions. To meet the diverse travel needs of different age groups, they’ve also specially recommended a “Five-Day, Four-Night Kaohsiung Getaway During the Holiday” itinerary, packing all the must-do activities into the winter break. The tourism bureau has also handpicked several unique theme parks ideal for family trips during the vacation—only available in Kaohsiung. These include the World Circus Dream Park next to Jinzuan Night Market, the first-ever Korean Jeju Teddy Bear Exhibition in Taiwan (running until March 1), the “Black & White & Hero” Frozen Time Memorial Action Park Exhibition, and the newly opened Children’s Fun Zone at Shoushan Zoo.
