Visit historical battle sites and cultural settlements – Kinmen National Park stays open during the Lunar New Year

Kinmen National Park will remain open during the Lunar New Year holiday period. The Kinmen National Park Administration announced that to serve travelers during the New Year, except for New Year’s Eve, all visitor centers and service stations will be open from the first day of the Lunar New Year (February 19) through the fifth day (February 23), operating from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Kinmen National Park is Taiwan's sixth national park and the first established to preserve historical battle sites, cultural heritage, and protect natural resources. It covers approximately one-fourth of Kinmen’s total area and includes a wealth of historic battle monuments, natural ecological resources, traditional villages, and cultural landmarks. The park is divided into five main zones: Kinmen North, Mount Taiwu, Guagan, Mashan, and Lieyu. It also encompasses four visitor centers—the Zhongshan Forest Visitor Center, Rushan Visitor Center, Shuangli Wetlands Visitor Center, and Lieyu Visitor Center—as well as three war history museums: the August 23rd War History Museum, Kinmen North War History Museum, and Hujingtou War History Museum. Other points of interest include the Jinshui Elementary School Exhibition Hall, Overseas Chinese Culture Exhibition Hall, Chiang Ching-kuo Memorial Hall, Yu Da-wei Memorial Hall, Deyuelou Exhibition Hall, Guesthouse, Qionglin Civil Defense Museum, Shanhoushi Celebration Museum, and the Licensed Teahouse Exhibition Hall.
