Although the Taipei Beef Noodles Festival has been discontinued, beef noodles have long become a staple in our lives, available almost everywhere. According to rankings by DailyView Network Thermometer based on online discussions and positive reviews, Lin Dongfang Beef Noodles claimed the top spot, followed by Shi Ji Authentic Beef Noodles in second place, and Lao Zhang Beef Noodles in third. As for Qi Shi Er Beef Noodles, which has been selected twice as one of Asia’s Best 101 Restaurants, it ranked tenth.

Many political and business celebrities have dined here, and even the Korean boy band BIGBANG specifically requested Lin Dongfang Beef Noodles when they visited Taiwan. The second-place Shi Ji Authentic Beef Noodles was once honored as one of the “Top 30 Shops” at the Taipei Beef Noodles Festival. Its richly braised flavor is a classic, and its milky-white broth may look thick but is actually light and not greasy. The third-place Lao Zhang Beef Noodles isn’t your average street-side vendor—it’s the Sichuan-style Lao Zhang Beef Noodles that won the championship at the second Taipei Beef Noodles Festival and has now relocated to the intersection of Aiguo East Road and Lishui Street in Taipei City.

Fourth place goes to Duan Chunzhen Beef Noodles in Hsinchu, fifth is Yongkang Beef Noodles near Yongkang Park, and sixth is Xiangyuan Beef Noodles from Kaohsiung City. Seventh place Zhen Shan Mei Beef Noodles, formerly known as Lao Song Ji, is located in Da’an District, Taipei City. Eighth place Niu Dian is in Wanhua District, Taipei City, and enjoys a high revisit rate. Ninth place Mantingfang Beef Noodles is located in Fengyuan, Taichung, and has numerous online food reviews. Tenth place Qi Shi Er Beef Noodles, which has been selected twice as one of Asia’s Best 101 Restaurants, is situated in Zhongzheng District, Taipei City.
