Devil’s Bento Made with Champion Rice – Hidden Menu “Never-Extinguished Beef Soup”

Recently, this Devil’s Bento has been frequently popping up on the Facebook page of a local entertainment vlogger. I heard it’s a sister branch of the similarly named Little Devil Steakhouse, and after some online digging, I found out that this bento starts at just NT$100—super affordable. So in January, I seized a free moment, hopped on the MRT, and came to see just how delicious this Devil’s Bento really is!!!

The beautiful staff at the Devil’s Bento were super friendly, and when they saw me, they smiled and said: “I know who you are…” Maybe because they recognized me from watching the food shows on FTV before~ I suddenly got shy and said, “I’ll have your most iconic one!!!”

So the beautiful staff recommended their best-selling Pork Chop Rice Bowl (small NT$100, large NT$120), which reportedly sells hundreds of portions on weekends.

Originally, a celebrity friend of mine who lives in Yonghe was supposed to come buy bento with me, but he overslept—so I mustered up the courage to ask, “What’s the second best-selling one?” The beautiful staff replied that everything sells like hotcakes, and their bentos are almost always out of stock—the daily prepared portions sell out completely. But they recently launched a new Mackerel Rice Bowl, which she recommended I try. So, persuaded by the staff, the entertainment vlogger ended up ordering both bentos!!

While waiting, I snapped a few photos of the chefs grilling meat on-site, generously brushing on their special sauce~ The aroma of the grilled meat wafted over, and my stomach let out an involuntary growl—I couldn’t wait to dig into the meat and rice!!!

The rice is Champion Rice from Taitung!!! Each grain is distinct~

The bento finally arrived Up!! The pork’s sauce is so fragrant and pairs perfectly with the meat—I feel like I could eat two more bites of rice with each slice of pork~ Oh my goodness!! The portion of rice is a bit much for me, but it’s just right for growing students. The side dishes might seem limited at first glance—just three kinds—but the boss gives way more meat than those chain rice bowl places. I think it’s way more practical to have more main dish than sides haha!!

My friend’s Mackerel Bento!! Although I didn’t get to try it. But just looking at the photo, the whole mackerel lying on the bento suddenly looks so elegant~ I really can’t bear to eat it!!! Actually, the entertainment vlogger didn’t get to taste the Mackerel Bento, but I asked my friend via LINE how it was, and he replied: “The fish is tender~ the sauce is well-seasoned~ no fishy smell~ I really liked it!!!” Sharing for reference!!

The broth tastes just like the soup base for clear braised beef noodle soup. I immediately told the staff this would be amazing for making beef noodle soup!! She just smiled and said: “Actually, this is our boss’s secret recipe for making beef noodle soup at home. We’re just sharing it with everyone now.” I guessed right!!! Such a sincere and delicious beef soup—come try it for yourself Up!!!
