Celebrate the New Year in Shuili and Checheng — Taiwan’s Largest Mascot “Xiong Wang” Has Arrived

As Lunar New Year approaches, Checheng in Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area is gearing up to ring in the new year with excitement too！ On the 13th, the “Xiong Wang Carnival” New Year opening event was held at the Checheng Timber Industry Exhibition Hall, where the adorable large inflatable mascots of the Xiong Wang family series made their cute debut！

The Xiong Wang Carnival will be held in Checheng for 19 days from February 13 to March 3, featuring a 10-meter-tall standing mascot Xiong Wang who has brought along his family members this year, making for quite an eye-catching attraction. This year also sees the launch of a “Stamp Card” and a “Learning Passport.” Children under 120 cm tall or under the age of 12 can claim a free “Stamp Card,” through which schoolchildren can learn about Taiwan’s timber industry history during the stamp-collecting process. Those who complete the stamp collection can exchange it for a “Learning Passport.” Additionally, the park features a large themed photo zone and a Happiness Footbridge, allowing visitors to create wonderful memories in Checheng.
