A Light Trip to Tainan by Bus: Enjoy Flowers by Day and Lanterns by Night

Visit Tainan during the Spring Festival this year. The Tainan Flower Festival, Yuze Harbor Lantern Festival, and Yanshui Beehive Fireworks — three major events — can all be reached by taking the Tainan City Bus Brown Line. During the lantern festival, the Zong Line also extends its service hours until 10 PM. Travelers are encouraged to use public transportation in Greater Tainan to enjoy a smooth trip without traffic jams.

Nanying Green Heart in Xinying District is one of the key venues of the Tainan Flower Festival. The theme combines “Prism Blue-Green Reflections on Flower Seas” and “Waterways Technology Art · Artistic Tainan,” showcasing local features of nearby community groups. The blend of natural beauty and technology is dazzling.

This year’s Yuze Harbor Lantern Festival has expanded its exhibition waters, themed “A Night Banquet by the Salty River,” allowing visitors to enjoy ever-changing, dazzling lantern displays. In addition, the Yanshui Beehive Fireworks await your experience. Travelers can enjoy flower viewing by day and lantern viewing by night through a light Tainan bus trip, andboth Xinying and Yanshui fall within the basic free mileage zone of 8 km. Brown LineSpring Flower Viewing and Lantern Festival Trips
1. At the Xinying Bus Terminal in front of Xinying Railway Station, take the Brown Line, Brown Line Branch 2 or 3, get off at Minzhi Center Stop to visit the Nanying Green Heart Flower Festival; or get off at Qiaonan Old Street Temporary Stop to see the Yuze Harbor Lantern Festival.
2. At the Xinying Bus Terminal in front of Xinying Railway Station, take the Brown Line Branches 1, 2, or 3, get off at Qiaonanli Stop or Yanshui Stop to explore Yanshui and view the Yuze Harbor Lantern Festival.
3. At the Xinying Bus Terminal in front of Xinying Railway Station, take the Yellow Line or Yellow Line Branch 6, get off at Xinying District Office Stop to view the Nanying Green Heart Flower Festival, then transfer at Minzhi Municipal Government Center Stop to the Brown Line, Brown Line Branches 2 or 3 to explore Yanshui and view the Yuze Harbor Lantern Festival.
4. From Chiayi High-Speed Rail Station, take the Yellow Line Branch 9, get off at Minzhi Municipal Government Center Stop to view the Nanying Green Heart Flower Festival, then transfer to the Brown Line, Brown Line Branches 2 or 3 to explore Yanshui and view the Yuze Harbor Lantern Festival.

※ Passengers using electronic ticket cards can enjoy a 26 NT$ fare within the basic 8 km ride on trunk and branch lines, and an additional 9 NT$ discount when transferring within 2 hours.
