Travel Center / Comprehensive Report
"Asia 49 Asian Cuisine & Lounge," located on the 49th floor of Taipei’s tallest building, the Taipei 101 Yoya Plaza, has completely revamped its menu starting today. In addition to nearly 50 new à la carte dishes priced from ¥160, there’s also a weekday four-course lunch set available from just ¥180—cheaper than some department store food courts.
Located within an office building, Asia 49 has introduced “Energetic Lunch Sets” every Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) to cater to office workers’ need for a quick meal. Each set consists of a four-course meal including one main dish, salad, dessert, and a choice of soft drink, coffee, or tea. Based on the main dish options, the sets are available at three price points: ¥180, ¥250, and ¥350.

The ¥180 main dish options include Thai Stir-Fried Glass Noodles with Minced Pork, Thai Basil Chicken with Rice, Korean Pork Bulgogi Rice, and Seafood Fried Rice with Rice. The ¥250 options feature Crispy Skin Pork Belly Rice, Hainanese Chicken Rice, and Korean Pork Kimchi Hotpot Rice. The ¥350 options include Penang Curry Laksa Noodles, Thai Duck Red Curry Rice, and Teppanyaki Beef Rice.
The revamped menu features nearly 50 dishes starting from ¥160, with only three items exceeding ¥500. The most expensive is the Sea & Meat Platter at ¥880, which combines three premium dishes on one plate: satay chicken skewers, banana leaf teriyaki salmon, and tender grilled pork ribs.

Several new dishes also offer impressive visual appeal. For example, the “Sauna Prawns” (¥380) give prawns a “sauna bath” by placing them on sizzling volcanic stones inside a cypress barrel, then pouring on a Thai sweet-and-sour sauce before quickly covering and serving after three minutes. The Flame-Seared Seafood Pineapple Fried Rice (¥350) is an authentic Thai-style seafood and pineapple fried rice served in a hollowed-out pineapple bowl, flambéed with liquor for added drama—perfect for social media-worthy food photos.
