Besides temples and scenic spots, sightseeing factories are also popular tourist destinations during the Spring Festival. According to official statistics, the top 10 sightseeing factories attracted over 9 million visitors last year, with Puli Sightseeing Distillery taking the top spot with 1.68 million visitors. The second place went to Taiwan’s卤味 Museum, where visitors can sample卤味 for free, attracting 1.4 million visitors. The third place was claimed by the Taiwan Glass Museum, which drew 1.38 million visitors.
In recent years, with the promotion from various sectors, the number of sightseeing factories has been increasing. There are now at least over 100 sightseeing factories across Taiwan, making them one of the popular choices for holiday outings. According to the official statistics on last year’s top 10 most popular sightseeing factories, Puli Sightseeing Distillery came in first with 1.68 million visitors. The second place went to Taiwan’s卤味 Museum, which allows free sampling, with 1.4 million visitors, while the third place was taken by the Taiwan Glass Museum, which also welcomed 1.4 million visitors throughout the year. Its maze game is particularly popular among families with children.
Other top 10 popular sightseeing factories include the fourth and fifth place winners: Taiwan Hemp Museum and Sisi Chicken Chop Museum. The sixth place was awarded to the Taiwan Rice Noodle Museum, the seventh to the Taiwan Sugar Museum, the eighth to the Taiwan Chocolate Museum, the ninth to the Taiwan Oil Museum, and the tenth to the Taiwan Herbal Medicine Culture Museum.
