The world’s first sandcastle castle hotel！ Hidden inside an eight-meter sand sculpture

｜NL｜A sandcastle hotel has emerged in the Netherlands, entirely built from beach sand, complete with all kinds of furniture, and located right by the seaside. How does it feel to stay there? It’s certainly very intriguing！

According to CNN, these sandcastle castle hotels were created in collaboration with the Friesland and Noord-Limburg sand sculpture festivals, and they are hidden within eight-meter-tall sand sculptures. The sand sculptures feature a rich variety of themes, and visitors can see a sand version of the Great Wall of China.

Unlike regular sand sculptures, each of these sandcastle suites has windows, electricity, running water, and even Wi-Fi. Many may wonder how long a structure made of sand can last, but fortunately, traditional materials are used for things like the bathroom, so the sand doesn’t erode away. The only issue guests might face is the difficulty of cleaning sand off towels.

A night in a sandcastle suite costs about $168 USD, roughly NT$5,500, and the package includes a guided tour of the sand sculpture festival. Currently, all accommodations in these sandcastles are fully booked and will close after the festival ends. However, interested travelers can check out similar stays in other countries.
