The Most Terrifying in All of Asia! Hong Kong Ocean Park’s Haunted Encounters Exposed Push Your Limits to the Breaking Point

If you haven’t been to Hong Kong Ocean Park’s Halloween event, don’t call yourself brave. Celebrated as the most terrifying Halloween event in all of Asia, the park’s celebration officially launched on the 14th. To mark the 40th anniversary of the park, this year’s “Haunt Up” festival is the largest in history, featuring 10 haunted attractions, 11 unique experiences, and 11 ghostly performances — including Asia’s first-ever horror attraction themed around the movie “Saw” called 【Saw – The Ride】. Each experience is absolutely spine-chilling, and if you want to test your limits, these 4 must-do experiences are not to be missed!

Saw – The Ride
“Do you want to play a game?” Fans of the movie “Saw” will never forget its iconic horror scenes. This year, Ocean Park brings those terrifying movie moments to life. To find your way out, you’ll have to navigate through a slaughterhouse hung with dead pigs, the operating room of a deranged killer, and various deadly “games” and torture devices designed by a maniacal murderer.

Zombie Tomb Grove
An evil general has summoned an army of ancient Chinese zombies in a dark forest, trapping visitors in this forbidden land. Those familiar with Hong Kong films will have lingering fears of zombies. In Zombie Tomb Grove, zombies with terrifying expressions suddenly emerge from all directions. No matter how scared you are, you must avoid ghost traps and bone ash halls and other eerie zones — or risk becoming a sacrifice to the bloodthirsty zombies.

Fortress of Terror
For many Hong Kong residents, Kowloon Walled City is a mysterious and taboo place filled with knife-wielding gangsters, vicious criminals, deranged and sinister doctors, and numerous wandering spirits. To explore this city of sin, beware of its dangerous back alleys. Unlucky visitors must gamble their lives away on abandoned gambling tables, playing one last round with a ghostly dealer.

Haunted House 17
Often, what’s truly terrifying isn’t the ghosts you can see, but the deepest fears hidden within. This limited-capacity haunted house contains various panic-inducing mystery rooms. Each room hides elements that could instantly trigger phobias — pitch-black mazes, pus-filled lesions that bring on trypophobia, and escape rooms that test your willpower. Visitors will experience fear like never before.

Public visiting hours: October 5–8, 13–15, 19–22, 26–29, and 31
Opening hours: 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM (some Haunt Up attractions open after 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM)
Daytime ticket: HK$438 for adults, HK$219 for children (ages 3–11)
