The New Taipei City Government announced today (March 4) its collaboration with EVA Air to launch the “EXPLORE NEW TAIPEI CITY WITH EVA AIR” flight-and-hotel package in Singapore and Malaysia, along with a tourism brochure for travelers from those areas, featuring nine themed routes. EVA Air will also increase its weekly flights beginning June 21 as a practical measure to boost tourist visits from Singapore and Malaysia.

The “Explore New Taipei City” promotional campaign centers around three key features of New Taipei City: nature, culture, and local charm. The nine charming thematic routes cover both newly popular attractions and six major festival events in New Taipei City (Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival, Wulai Cherry Blossom Season, North Coast International Kite Festival, Fulong International Sand Sculpture Art Festival, Gongliao Ocean Music Festival, and Happy Christmas Town), including such diverse experiences as the “Slow Travel: A Railway Journey” through Pingxi’s sky lantern town, and “Encounters in a Historic Mountain City” visiting Ruifang and Shuinandong-Golden Waterfall. These nine unique routes allow travelers from Singapore and Malaysia to deeply experience New Taipei City, with 3-night/4-day packages starting from S$398 (excluding tax, approximately NT$9,273).

To enhance exchanges between the two regions, EVA Air also announced today that starting June 21, the number of weekly flights to Singapore will be increased from 7 to 10, further rising to 11 starting July 1, with three of those flights operated using the Hello Kitty livery aircraft, aiming to create a new wave of tourism.
