The "Taiwan International Orchid Show," ranked among the world's top three orchid exhibitions, runs from today until the 16th at the Taiwan Orchid Plantation in Houpi District, Tainan City. Tainan Mayor Lai Ching-te noted that visitors can not only admire a dazzling array of orchid varieties but also explore cultural and creative products designed by top Taiwanese designers. Friends who love orchids and appreciate beauty are warmly invited to Tainan to experience the vibrant vitality of the orchid industry!

Lai Ching-te stated that the orchid industry has consistently performed outstandingly in Taiwan’s agricultural exports, and the Taiwan International Orchid Show is currently the largest, most beautiful, and most spectacular orchid exhibition in the world. It is also a comprehensive exhibition covering primary, secondary, and tertiary industries. During the 2014 show, it attracted 333,000 visitors. In the future, in addition to continuing the development of high-end agriculture, the city aims to make orchids shine in four key areas: cultural creativity, tourism, and biotechnology.

This year marks the 11th edition of the Taiwan International Orchid Show, with the 2015 event themed “Sailing Through the Sea of Orchids.” The show features ten exciting exhibition zones, including the Theme Pavilion, the “Golden Orchid Bond” Cultural and Creative Art Zone, the Orchid Innovation Pavilion, the Boutique Pavilion, the Industry Pavilion, the Taiwan Export Flower Display Area, the Market Pavilion, the International Exhibition Area, the Orchid Business Zone, and the Outdoor Sculpture Landscape Area. These zones showcase a variety of creative orchid designs and floral displays to provide visitors with a refreshing visual experience.

The organizers also offer convenient shuttle bus services. Visitors can take the "Yellow Trunk Line" shuttle bus from the “Xinying Bus Terminal” opposite Xinying Railway Station, or take the “Yellow 9” bus from Exit 2 of Chiayi High-Speed Rail Station. After getting off at “Houbi Railway Station,” transfer to the “Orchid Show Shuttle Bus” to reach the exhibition site directly. Passengers using EasyCard, iPass, Taiwan Pass, or Far EasTone Easycard can ride for free.

Additionally, the organizers have introduced a limited-edition “Orchid Show Commemorative Lunch Box” this year. The beautifully designed meal box features the official logo of the year and contains healthy meals made with premium rice from Houbi—a region known for producing beautiful butterfly orchids—and other high-quality agricultural products from Tainan.
