College students take Taiwan Tourist Shuttle’s Eastern Coast Line & get 50% off with student ID

To encourage students to travel more via public transport, the Eastern Coastal National Scenic Area Administration (hereinafter referred to as the East Administration) has launched a student travel discount campaign in line with the back-to-school season. From now until October 31, university and college students can enjoy a 50% discount on one-day passes for the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle’s Eastern Coast Line by presenting their student ID.

The “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Eastern Coast Line” is a sightseeing route that runs along the eastern coast, primarily connecting major attractions such as Sanxiantai, Water Flowing Uphill, Dulan Sugar Factory, Jialulan, Little Yehliu, and the Forest Recreation Area.

The East Administration stated that passengers on the Eastern Coast Line can not only enjoy the beautiful blue coastline of eastern Taiwan but also view onsite artworks created by local and international artists during the Eastern Coast Land Art Festival, experiencing the unique leisurely aesthetics of the land. To encourage student ridership, a student discount campaign has been launched from now until the end of October. As long as students present their original university or college student ID, they can purchase a one-day pass for the Eastern Coast Line at 50% off (discounted price NT$150, original price NT$299).
