The world’s first 1828 Wong Lo Kat Herbal Drink Shop to open on September 23

Authorized by China’s Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Group, the world’s first herbal drink shop “1828 Wong Lo Kat Herbal Drink Shop” is set to officially open at Taipei’s Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A11 in Xinyi District on September 23. In the two days leading up to the opening, there will be launch events, and the first 200 customers each day who take photos and check in will receive a gourd-shaped beverage.

The 1828 Wong Lo Kat Herbal Drink Shop actually doesn’t serve the well-known Wong Lo Kat herbal tea. However, the two signature drinks offered at the shop are made using Wong Lo Kat’s ancient formula of “three flowers, three herbs, and one leaf,” combined with locally sourced Taiwanese tea leaves, along with other familiar yet innovatively crafted teas. Huang Ren-jun, deputy general manager of the Wong Lo Kat Tea House, stated that aside from Pu-erh tea, all the teas used are from Taiwan.

In terms of the products offered, the 1828 Wong Lo Kat Herbal Drink Shop essentially serves bubble tea, but the management team aims to bring a more premium feel to bubble tea. Pricing is set at NT$65 for the signature teas, NT$79 for seasonal limited editions, NT$45 for compound traditional teas, and NT$65 for milk teas.
