Taiwan is swept up in a clear milk tea craze, but recently, Coca-Cola Japan has come up with a new idea: the super wild “Coca-Cola Coffee,” which lets you enjoy both coffee and carbonated drink flavors. But it’s not so easy to get your hands on—it’s sold exclusively through vending machines and is limited to the Kanto region. If you’re planning a trip to Tokyo soon, check the street vending machines to see if they have this special Coca-Cola Coffee!

Though it is indeed a cola, the newly launched Japanese “Coca-Cola Coffee” includes coffee ingredients. When you open the can, the first thing you notice is the distinct coffee aroma, while the unique scent of cola becomes more subdued. Upon taking a sip, the initial flavor resembles that of brewed coffee, followed by the sweetness and bubbly sensation typical of cola, which gradually spreads across your palate after the initial taste—leaving you momentarily confused as to whether you’re drinking coffee or cola!

But getting your hands on a bottle of “Coca-Cola Coffee” isn’t so simple. This Coca-Cola Coffee is only available in the Kanto region and can be purchased only at vending machines—and not all vending machines carry it. So, if you’re currently in Japan and want to try this uniquely flavored Coca-Cola Coffee, keep your eyes peeled for vending machines that might sell it!
