Universal Studios Japan to unveil new "Jurassic Park" area in spring 2016

Following the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal Studios Japan is set to launch a new outdoor themed area—“Jurassic Park”—scheduled to open in spring 2016.

According to Japanese media reports, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter has brought over 500,000 additional visitors to Universal Studios Japan. To attract even more tourists, the park has invested a budget of 10 billion yen to create a brand-new roller coaster attraction themed around Jurassic Park, which is expected to be ready for visitors by next spring.

In addition, Tomohiko Kagawa, president of Universal Studios Japan, has recently confirmed plans to build a second Universal Studios in Okinawa, aiming for completion before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, giving travelers yet another reason to visit Japan.
