The Spring Scream in Kenting kicks off on April 3rd—get ready to party with Show Lo, Ding Dang, and more across southern Taiwan!

The 2015 Kenting Spring Music Festival was held from April 3rd to 5th at Hengchun Wuliting Airport. This year’s organizers adopted the slogan “Love the Earth, Love Kenting, Love Music,” and launched a “Beach Cleanup Campaign” on Nanzih and Dawan beaches during the festival. The campaign called on the public to actively participate in beach cleanups—not only to enjoy music but also to show love for Kenting through real actions.

The Kenting spring music events include major outdoor music festivals such as the “Original Spring Scream” and the “Spring Scream Music Festival.”The “Spring Scream,” supported by the county government, will also be held from April 3rd to 5th at Hengchun Wuliting Airport, with performances led by well-known singers such as Show Lo, Ding Dang, and Chang Chen-yue. The event consists of three segments: the “Spring Scream Competition,” the “Mandarin Pop Music Concert,” and the “World Electronic Dance Party.”

“Spring Scream Competition”
It is an important competition for selecting emerging artists and bands and has nurtured many new talents in Taiwan’s Mandarin music scene. This year, after intense auditions, 20 teams advanced to the semifinals on April 3rd, and the top 6 teams were selected to compete in the finals on April 4th.

“Mandarin Pop Music Concert”
Continuous performances will take place on the afternoons of April 4th and 5th from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM, featuring artists such as Show Lo, Ding Dang, Joanna Wang, Priscilla, Chang Chen-yue, Ill Nino, Rock Auntie, Luan Tan A-Xiang, MC HotDog, MJ116, and Miss Ko (Ge Zhongshan), among other popular musicians.

“World Electronic Dance Party”
An outdoor dance music event held from 11:00 PM to 3:00 AM on the evenings of April 4th and 5th. DJs at the Spring Scream EDM party include Tenishia, Ben Gold, Crystal Q, and Liu Xuan.

Pingtung County Government also encourages visitors to use public transportation. Information on road traffic conditions, shuttle bus schedules, public transport timetables, and event schedules will be linked on the Facebook page of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, directing visitors to relevant websites for up-to-date details.
