Snoopy stolen just 7 days after opening – Charlie Brown Café: What’s wrong with Taiwan?

The Charlie Brown Café specialty store, which opened for a trial run on March 18, is Taiwan’s first coffee restaurant themed around Snoopy, sparking heated discussion and attracting many fans to visit.

But this evening (March 24), the Charlie Brown Café posted a photo of a “Snoopy plush toy” on its Facebook fan page, stating that a mini Snoopy plush in the restroom on the first floor had been forcibly pulled out and went missing.

Zheng Yuming, marketing director of the Charlie Brown Café specialty store, said that during the trial period, the store suffered serious damage and losses, includingthe Snoopy stickers on the ordering call machine being peeled off and stolen,、wires being pulled from the doghouse,and evenseveral mugs being stolen.These Snoopy-themed mugs take over a month from ordering to factory production, yet nearly 30 have been lost or damaged in just seven days — nearly 10% of the total stock — forcing the café to temporarily replace them with paper takeaway cups to prevent further losses.

Zheng Yuming also said that during an inspection tonight, they found the mini Snoopy air freshener plush, fixed with strong glue in the first-floor restroom, had been forcibly pulled out.These small accessories were meant to brighten customers’ moods, but have instead become theft victims. Zheng lamented, “What’s wrong with Taiwanese people?”Due to the extensive damage and theft,

the Charlie Brown Café’s originally planned “Snoopy porcelain plates” for fan use are now being reassessed,to avoid further losses. Zheng urged fans and visitors to respect the café’s efforts and not let a few inappropriate actions ruin the experience for others.Zheng Yuming called on visitors to appreciate the café’s hard work and not let a few bad behaviors rob others of the joy intended.
