Thailand Travel Heats Up: Tigerair Taiwan & V Air Add up to 20 Weekly Flights to Don Mueang

With Thailand travel heating up, both Tigerair Taiwan and V Air reported passenger loads of over 80% on their Bangkok Don Mueang routes in February. In response, they’ve decided to significantly increase flight frequency. On February 25, Tigerair announced that its Bangkok Don Mueang route will expand from six to ten flights per week starting May 8. Similarly, V Air will boost its Taipei Taoyuan–Bangkok Don Mueang route from seven to ten weekly flights starting May 15. Combined, the two low-cost carriers will operate a total of 20 weekly flights.

Tigerair Taiwan announced on February 26 that starting May 8, its Taipei Taoyuan–Bangkok Don Mueang route will be increased from seven to ten weekly flights. With this increase, Tigerair will offer both morning and evening flights to Bangkok Don Mueang, giving travelers more flexible scheduling options and better connectivity.

Tigerair Taiwan’s IT505 flight from Taipei Taoyuan to Bangkok Don Mueang will depart at 16:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and at 19:50 on Wednesdays and Fridays. The return flight IT506 from Bangkok Don Mueang to Taipei Taoyuan will depart at 19:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and at 22:30 on Wednesdays and Fridays. Starting May 8, 2015, the airline will add a new IT507 flight departing Taipei Taoyuan at 05:40 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with the return IT508 flight leaving Bangkok Don Mueang at 09:10 for Taipei.

To celebrate the increased frequency on the Bangkok Don Mueang route, Tigerair Taiwan’s official website is now offering a special promotional fare of NT$1,688 (excluding tax) for one-way tickets, limited availability.
