Does this restaurant have a play area? A family-friendly "hundred-yuan" hot pot spot in Pingtung

A new restaurant with a kids' play area recently opened in downtown Pingtung. When Xiao Hu returned to his hometown, he gathered the family for a meal at Hao Ri Qi Mini Stone Pot Hot Pot~~ Because the location is near where his nurse sister Hu Jie works... it’s very convenient to meet here, and he could even bring his little nephews along—perfect for a three-generation get-together. Hao Ri may be known for its stone pot hot pot, but Hu Jie’s shadow, Sally, highly recommends the signature plum chicken pot after trying it—it’s slightly tangy and really whets the appetite ^^ Since there are hot pot options suitable for both adults and kids, even Hu’s vegetarian mom can enjoy it happily.......

As soon as Xiao Hu’s two nephews arrived at the restaurant, they dashed to the playroom XDD The space is quite cozy. Hu Jie, the nurse sister, mentioned... that play kitchen set is super expensive!! (Only moms would know, right) While the kids played there under the care of Hu Mei Ji Yi, the rest of us went to order food ~~~~

Hao Ri Qi Mini Stone Pot Hot Pot offers a rich variety of dishes, and the side vegetables are pretty fresh too. The portions are just enough to satisfy basic hunger, but those with bigger appetites might want to order extra... (´ΘωΘ`)

【Original Flavor Mini Hot Pot】 (Beef/Pork/Lamb/Vegetarian) NT$140 per pot
This is the stone pot hot pot where you first stir-fry onions, garlic, and meat slices~~~~~ Many people seem to love the unique aroma of stir-frying before adding the broth. (Sally loves it too, but she ordered something else XDD)

The pork slices are your basic cut~~ slightly thicker ^^

The stir-frying process smells amazing~~~ you almost want to eat it straight away (〃∀〃) When it’s cooked to the right level, they pour in their homemade broth. It looks so tempting.....

Since the broth is specially simmered for a long time, it tastes quite refreshing~~~ pairs perfectly with the hot pot ingredients. The flavor is decent, and you can adjust the spice level with the sauces provided ^^

【Peel-the-Skin Chili Chicken Pot】 NT$160 per pot
This one was ordered by Brother-in-law Hu~~ we didn’t get to try it, so we’re not sure how it tastes XD But it seems like a great choice for guys... especially spice lovers.

【Plum Chicken Pot】 NT$160 per pot
This is the one we highly recommend~~ a slightly tangy, appetite-whetting plum-flavored pot. Hu Mei Ji Yi kept sneaking sips of the broth.... and ended up drinking it all the way to the bottom (amazing!)

Although the broth looks rather milky white, it actually has a refreshing taste. Maybe it’s because of the plums.... the chicken also tastes especially tender d(`?∀?)b If you like soups with a bit of acidity, this pot is perfect for you.

【Pineapple Bitter Melon Chicken Pot】 NT$160 per pot
This is what Xiao Hu ordered. It’s probably our second favorite hot pot item~~~ haha XD Perhaps Hu Li is used to tangy flavors, but the pineapple adds just the right touch.

These traditional-style hot pots~~~ great for bringing parents along to try :)

【Garlic Clam Chicken Pot】 NT$160 per pot
Hu Mei Ji Yi needs more B vitamins.... haha. All the garlic will help her get some vitamin intake.< (￣?￣)> Actually, this one is also great for kids. The soup is lighter than the others, which most children can accept. If your kid doesn’t go for strong flavors, we’d suggest trying the garlic clam chicken pot.

At Hao Ri, you can ask for more broth. (It’s their regular self-made stock base.) The benefit of this kind of hot pot is.... slowly cooking it and eating it while it's hot (Q´∴Q) warms up your stomach.

【Shrimp and Egg Fried Rice】 NT$60 per serving
Some kids don’t eat much—or may not even eat the hot pot..... Hao Ri thoughtfully offers several dishes for parents to choose from, and the shrimp and egg fried rice is pretty good.

It’s loaded with ingredients and comes in bright colors that little kids love ^^

【Complimentary Drinks】 Help yourself in moderation
The drinks are unlimited refills.... and they’re quite tasty. Hu’s mom took one sip and loved it. Turns out it’s homemade winter melon lemon tea. Hao Ri’s meals are pretty well thought-out, catering to both adults and kids... perfect for family gatherings XD

There are lots of playful murals inside the restaurant.... The chairs are also cute and dainty. Throughout our meal, several other families came in~~~ looks like they’re regulars ('[%岌['?) With a playroom in a Pingtung city restaurant, parents can finally relax and enjoy their meal.

One of the benefits of dining here is... the kids will quickly and obediently finish their meals just to go to the playroom 0?*´∀ 霜)? Raising kids is indeed hard work—you have to come up with incentives to get them to finish their food ＝ ＝

Xiaohu and Sally really liked the specialty hot pot dishes at Hao Ri Qi Mini Stone Pot Hot Pot (Q´1B`Q) We’ll definitely want to order the plum chicken hot pot again next time～～～ haha！I love soup with a tangy flavor..... Most importantly, you can bring your kids here—perfect even for three generations together～～～ It’s usually hard to enjoy a meal with peace when taking care of kids, but now we can bring them to Hao Ri Qi and let them have fun in the playroom—it’s pretty nice!
