Hidden gems in the market: golden potstickers with a hint of ginger!

Last updated 2026-09-25 — One day while searching for delicious dumplings and potstickers, I suddenly spotted this potsticker shop. The reason it caught my attention was because of its uniquely special name—Raccoon & Emily Potstickers. Without the word "potstickers," it really does look like a brunch spot, XD. So sometimes, a shop’s name is really important. Like me, Old K, I decided to try their potstickers just because the name stood out.

One day while searching for delicious dumplings and potstickers, I suddenly spotted this potsticker shop.

This shop is located inside the ] Market. Old K has been here a few times before, but if I hadn’t known there was a potsticker shop here, I would’ve totally walked right past it without noticing. In the past, I always just walked on by, XD. This potsticker shop is tucked between two clothing stores—it’s really tiny!

It turns out this place was featured on Discovery Unlimited (非凡大探索) before. It’s been quite a while since I last watched that show. After getting scared off a few times, I stopped watching, XD.

In addition to potstickers, they also serve hot and sour soup and corn chowder. Their A, B, C, and D combos include potstickers plus soup at a discount of 5 NT dollars. For those who want soup, you can go for the combo. I chose Combo D: 15 potstickers with hot and sour soup. There are three flavors of potstickers available: cabbage, leek, and chive. Except for the chive ones, which are 6 NT each, the rest are 5 NT each. So if you choose chive potstickers in the combo, you’ll have to pay the price difference.

Since the potstickers are all made to order and pan-fried fresh, the available flavors may vary. By the time I got there, only chive potstickers were left, so I went with those.

There’s a basement in the back of the potsticker shop with seating available.

And there are quite a few seats too!

Chive Potstickers (6 NT each). Just looking at these perfectly golden brown potstickers makes me think they must be delicious.

These potstickers are really crispy and crunchy. They have that satisfying crisp texture. Though the meat filling isn’t bursting with juice, it’s still quite juicy. It’s already flavorful on its own even without dipping sauce. Aside from the taste of pork and chives, there’s also a hint of minced ginger—which is probably there to balance out the meatiness. But I’m not a huge fan of ginger, so I might’ve liked them even more without it.

You can also dip them in their spicy bean paste for an even tastier experience. Even when they’re slightly cooled down, they’re still pretty crispy—and they’re quite big too. Overall, they’re really delicious potstickers!

Hot and Sour Soup (25 NT when ordered separately). That black pepper wasn’t added by me—it came pre-mixed.

Their hot and sour soup has a light starch consistency. It’s tangy, spicy, and quite tasty, and there’s no shortage of ingredients either. Potstickers or dumplings paired with hot and sour soup is just the perfect combo.

Old K’s Little Tips: I think good potstickers are even harder to find than good dumplings. I used to love A-Cai Potstickers in Shipai, but they’ve gone downhill quite a bit. They’re still okay, but not as delicious as before. Now that I’ve found a good potsticker spot, these chive potstickers are really quite good. If the ginger flavor were a bit milder, I’d love them even more. Next time I’ll try the leek flavor if I get the chance. As for the cabbage flavor, I’ll leave that to someone else, XD.
