Listen to stories and play with balloons: 7 kid-friendly activities in New Taipei City for Children's Day

During the Children's Day holiday, several arts and cultural centers and museums in New Taipei City have planned a series of “New Taipei Good Kids, ‘Virtue’ Delights the Lamb” art and culture-themed activities especially for children, including children’s theater, dough figurine making, clay modeling, clown mime, and more. This allows parents taking their kids out to not only experience the facilities and exhibitions at the venues but also participate in unique cultural activities.

Banqiao 435 Art Zone
From April 3 to April 6, the Spring Art 435 – Kids' Fun Festival will be held, featuring activities such as children’s theater troupes, Little Boss Market, and balloon artist performances by the Balloon Boy. Admission is free and open to all. (Contact: 02-2969-0366)

Lin Ben Yuan Estate
On April 3, there will be a performance by the Yiwaran Puppet Troupe, and on April 4, a dough figurine making experience activity. Both are free to attend. From April 3 to April 6, a total of 14 sessions of the Mysterious Underground Kingdom activity will be offered, where children can make their own lightweight clay insects. Children aged 4–12 are welcome to join, with a material fee of NT$100 per person. (Contact: 02-86772727 ext. 710 or 711)

From April 25 to April 26, the ArchaeoLife Festival – Animal Exploration Park will take place, where visitors can explore seven themed zones and complete challenges. (Contact: 02-26191313 ext. 316)

On April 4, there will be a clown mime troupe handing out shaped balloons on-site, along with bubble carnivals, children’s theater, and bubble magic shows. All activities are free. (Contact: 02-26212830)

Gold Museum
From April 3 to April 6, the Mine Time Corridor Experience Activity will be held, offering hands-on crafting experiences for elementary school-aged children and below within the exhibition area. Fuzhong 15 Animation Story House
From April 3 to April 26, every Saturday and Sunday, the Mini Cinema Marathon will be held, screening a selection of animated films. Visitors can also DIY paper sheep and experience special visual illusion effects. (Contact: 02-29683600 ext. 274)
