NewBike is history, as Banqiao in New Taipei City adds 4 new YouBike stations

The NewBike system in Banqiao District, New Taipei City, has been gradually converted to the YouBike system, with 4 additional stations added on the 5th—namely Exit 2 of Xinzhuang Metro Station, New Taipei City Hall, Exit 3 of Banqiao Metro Station, and Minsheng Park—bringing a total of 134 new bike parking spaces. The entire New Taipei City now offers 90 stations and 2,350 public bicycles for public use.

The New Taipei City Department of Transportation stated that the original plan to convert the NewBike system to the YouBike system in three phases has seen Phase 1 fully launched on March 29; Phase 2 completed on April 5; and Phase 3 set to begin on April 6, including Fuzhong Metro Station, Banqiao Land Administration Office, Banqiao Household Registration Office, Yadong Hospital Metro Station, and Heping Park.
