ZAKUZAKU Pompompurin Puff Rushes into Southern Taiwan – Hanshin Dome Store Opens on October 5

Following its successful launch in Taichung, Japan’s ultra-popular stylish street-style dessert, ZAKUZAKU Pompompurin Puff, has announced its expansion into Southern Taiwan. The brand will open its third Taiwanese branch at Kaohsiung Hanshin Dome on October 5, along with a Kaohsiung-exclusive limited-edition product — the Chocolate Pompompurin Puff. Each regular Pompompurin Puff is priced at NT$88, or six for NT$498, while the Chocolate Pompompurin Puff is sold at NT$98 per piece, with a daily limit of 200. The Kaohsiung-exclusive flavor will be available from October 5 to November 30.

The ZAKUZAKU Pompompurin Puff boasts three key features: “freshly filled custard cream on the spot,” “a crispy exterior with a smooth interior texture,” and “its unique stick-shaped design.” Its deliciousness mainly comes from using Hokkaido flour and fresh milk, with each puff baked fresh daily in-store and filled with custard cream only after an order is placed. A single bite offers three textures: the crunch of almond bits, the slightly crisp and golden puff shell, and the smooth custard filling. Meanwhile, the limited-edition flavor launched in Southern Taiwan, the “Chocolate Pompompurin Puff,” is coated with imported Japanese chocolate sauce on a slightly crisp and golden puff shell. The rich sweetness of the chocolate complements the milky flavor of the custard filling, creating a sweet yet not overly heavy taste.
