Mammoths Look Spectacular on Debut at Tainan’s Shanhua “Hay Maze”

Tainan’s Shanhua “Hay Maze” has made its debut, featuring a complete mammoth skeleton hidden inside. Located in the area around Grandma’s Mural in Hucuoliao, Shanhua, Tainan, the hay maze will be open for two months starting today. Within the towering hay that reaches up to two meters high, visitors can wander through and search for a fully intact mammoth skeleton hidden at the center, symbolizing the hidden beauty and natural treasures of Tainan.

The “Hay Maze” initiated by Grandma’s Mural in Hucuoliao, Shanhua, Tainan, was officially assembled today (21st) even in the rain. The head of a complete mammoth skeleton peeks out from the hay, looking quite impressive. The hay maze, which will be on display for two months, spans 40 meters in length and 20 meters in width. After design and planning, it has become a natural maze suitable for both adults and children. Li Fan, the organizer of the hay maze event, explained that the goal is to present a complete representation of the natural heritage hidden within the land of Taiwan.

Li Fan mentioned that he had visited this area several times before creating the maze. Many people come here to relax, but in fact, there is also a fully intact mammoth skeleton preserved here. Although the one at the center of the maze is not the actual version but a replica, it is still quite spectacular. Li Fan said that because he believes the land holds beautiful natural resources worth sharing, he designed and planned the hay maze to allow more visitors to learn about the natural heritage of the area.
