Starting October 1, Huzizhang raises the price of braised pork rice by NT$2; 27 products see an average increase of 5%

Due to rising operating costs and food safety maintenance expenses, Huzizhang will implement price adjustments starting October 1. Among 77 products, prices for 27 items will be modified, with an average increase of 5%. The price hikes apply to categories including rice dishes, vegetables, desserts, meats, soups, lunchboxes, and gift sets. Specifically, small servings of braised pork rice (鲁肉饭) and chicken rice (鸡肉饭) will each go up by NT$2, from NT$37 to NT$39. In addition to raising prices, Huzizhang has also increased its employees’ hourly wage to NT$140.

For the October 1 price increases: small servings of braised pork rice and chicken rice will rise by NT$2, vegetables by NT$5, desserts by NT$5, and meats by NT$5. Most soups will also increase by NT$5, except for Dragon Marrow Soup (龙髓汤), which remains unchanged. Among lunchboxes, six options will see a NT$5 reduction, while other lunchbox items will increase by NT$5. However, starting October 1, Huzizhang stores will also launch a “Golden Combo Meal” — customers who choose any combo meal can save NT$6 instantly, and an additional NT$5 when adding a soup, totaling a NT$11 discount. Meanwhile, in-store set meals have been discontinued.

This marks the second price adjustment by Huzizhang this year, following the New Year’s Day increase.
