Leave it to the pros!Is there braised pork intestines and lean pork in the big intestine and oyster vermicelli noodles at Xihu MRT Station?

Last updated 2026-09-24 — I originally planned to go to the Little P braised snacks near Xihu MRT Station to get some braised food this afternoon, but then I suddenly noticed a new oyster vermicelli shop right next door. Old K changed his mind—let’s go eat vermicelli noodles instead XD I asked the boss lady, and they’ve only been open for three months. This place only sells vermicelli noodles—you can choose from big intestine vermicelli, oyster vermicelli, or a mixed version. The large bowl is 60 NT$, the small is 45 NT$. If you don’t want the toppings, they also have plain vermicelli, with the large at 40 NT$ and the small at 30 NT$.

I originally planned to go to the Little P braised snacks near Xihu MRT Station to get some braised food

but then I suddenly noticed a new oyster vermicelli shop right next door. Price-wise, it’s pretty average, but when it comes to vermicelli noodles, it’s usually not about the price, because prices usually only differ by 5 or 10 NT$, yet the portion sizes can vary hugely—some bowls are worth two or three of others. So whether it’s cheap or not, you’ll only know after eating XD

Mixed vermicelli noodles (60 NT$)
Old K loves both pork intestines and oysters, so naturally, he went for the mixed bowl. Their large bowl is super generous—in all the places he’s tried in Taipei, their portion size is definitely up there in the top ranks, so it scored points right away as soon as it was served XD

Just looking at the uneven thickness of the vermicelli noodles tells you they’re handmade. They have a bit of chew to them, and the broth is a nice, refreshing bone broth. The thickening isn’t too heavy, which Old K quite likes. There’s also a bit of pepper spiciness—if you add more vinegar, it gives off the vibe of hot and sour soup. Since Old K is also a fan of hot and sour soup, this broth really suits his taste.

The oysters aren’t super big, but they’re pretty fresh.

What made Old K happiest was that they use the slightly pricier pork large intestine (intestine head). It’s very well prepared—there’s almost no fishy smell—and the QQ, slightly bouncy texture is amazing. It needs chewing but isn’t the kind you can’t break down. Old K loves their pork large intestine, and they give you quite a lot of it too!

How can you eat vermicelli noodles without adding some spice? On the table, besides pepper and black vinegar, there’s also minced garlic and chili you can add. Their chili is pretty special—it has garlic and dried shrimp mixed in, and the spiciness level is definitely strong enough!

With the chili, minced garlic, and black vinegar added, the flavors are so rich~

Halfway through eating, Old K realized they also had meat chunks! It’s lean pork—chewy but not dry—and it’s pretty good too!

Old K’s little tips:

Old K is quite satisfied with this vermicelli noodle place—the taste is good, the portions are huge, and best of all, it’s not far from his home XD The pork intestine head performance is really great. Even though he ordered the mixed version, the pork intestine head makes up at least 2/3 of the toppings, while the oysters are fewer, and the meat chunks are just a garnish. For someone like Old K who loves pork intestine head, this is super satisfying XD In the future, if he wants vermicelli noodles in Neihu, this will probably be his first choice!Plus, their business hours are pretty long—they’re open from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM!If you don’t live in Neihu but still want cheap and generous portions, you can check out Golden Vermicelli Noodles near Zhongshan Junior High School MRT Station, or Noodle Legend near Minquan West Road MRT Station. Old K recommends all of these places!
