The long-established Japanese Kyoto matcha shop Nakamura Tokichi is opening its first overseas store, but unfortunately not in Taiwan—it’s in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, with the opening date set for May 15. Ingredients for Nakamura Tokichi's Hong Kong branch will be directly shipped from Kyoto, Japan, allowing residents of Hong Kong to enjoy the most authentic Kyoto flavors without leaving the city.

It has been confirmed that Nakamura Tokichi’s first overseas branch will be located on the 18th floor of The One in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong, with the grand opening scheduled for May 15. In addition to enjoying authentic Kyoto flavors, the Hong Kong branch will also offer a limited-edition matcha daifuku red bean soup. Founded in 1854, Nakamura Tokichi’s century-old legacy gives its matcha and desserts a truly distinctive quality, leaving many who have tried them longing to return.
