13 Unique Presidential Palaces

The world wonder website when earth recently compiled a list of “12 Coolest-Shaped Islands in the World,” with Guishan Island making the list for its unique shape. More recently, they also put together “13 Unique Presidential Palaces,” offering a glimpse into the design of the highest national power symbols from around the world through architecture of diverse styles,

1. 台湾，总统府
二战间重创，重建于1946年，建筑主体五层楼加上十一层高的塔，以红、白为主。

2. 印度，总统府(上图)
英国建筑师操刀，除了欧洲古典精神，依稀可见印度当地民族元素石盆、大象以及浮雕。

3. 葡萄牙，贝伦宫(上图)
整个建筑主体是L型，以内部天花板镶嵌的艺术、壁画、奖章和绘画驰名。

4. 巴西，普拉纳托宫（Palácio do Planalto）(上图)
36000平方米的建筑以细纹和波浪为意象，表现了现代主义以及简单性。

5. 意大利，奎里纳尔宫(上图)
世界第六大宫殿，位在罗马第七高山奎利那雷山上，据说里面有1200间房间。

6. 韩国，青瓦台(上图)
最引人注目的其蓝色屋瓦，这个建筑使用了约15万个的屋瓦，每一片都经过火烤强化其耐用度。

7. 德国，贝尔维尤宫(上图)
建于1786年，是德国第一个新古典主义建筑。

8. 越南，河内主席府(The image above)
Built during the French colonial period, its design reflects neoclassical style with Baroque decorative details.

9. United States, The White House(The image above)
It has 132 rooms, 35 bathrooms, 412 doors... The interior decorations include works not only from American but also European artists.

10. Argentina, Casa Rosada(The image above)
The pink base color of the building has two explanations: one says it’s a mix of red and white to ease tensions between the country’s political parties, and another claims that cow blood was mixed into the paint to prevent humidity from damaging the structure.

11. Russia, The Kremlin(The image above)
Located in the city center, its walls protect an area of 275,000 square meters, including five palaces and four cathedrals.

12. France, Élysée Palace(The image above)
Located near the Champs-Élysées, it includes a three-story main building, two wings, a courtyard, and gardens.

13. Kazakhstan, Presidential Palace(The image above)
This building showcases Kazakh and Eastern styles, most notably featuring a blue-gold dome topped with a spire.
