Want to step into the Giverny Garden where French Impressionist master Monet spent his later years and admire the beauty of water lilies? Japan’s renowned department store, Seibu, has transformed the rooftop space of its Ikebukuro flagship store into what is claimed to be the largest green garden inside a Japanese department store. The iconic masterpiece “Water Lilies” by Monet has been brought to life here, allowing visitors to stroll through and enjoy a relaxing afternoon.

This brand-new outdoor garden is named the“Garden of Food and Greenery in the Sky”, covering approximately 5,800 square meters. Conceptualized as an urban oasis and adorned with vast greenery, the garden also features the “Water Lily Garden,” which recreates the landscape of Monet’s “Water Lilies, Green Harmony” from his Water Lilies series. Visitors can cross small bridges and admire the serene water lilies blooming in the pond.

Strong>) In addition to the lush greenery, the garden also provides a variety of dining services. Around 10 restaurants, set up in food stall-style setups, offer Chinese, Japanese, and Western cuisines. Visitors can purchase meals and dine at seating areas scattered throughout the garden. The Restaurant & Bar section offers seasonal specials that change with the four seasons, and as night falls, alcoholic beverages are also available, making it a great new spot for after-work drinks with friends.
