A must-try for milk tea lovers – made with imported New Zealand powdered milk and high-mountain tea

During a follow-up visit to Tainan, I dropped by Nanhua Dream Mall for some shopping... but first, I stopped at Taiwan Tea Channel in Yongkang District for a new taste (*ˇωˇ*人). What amazed Xiao Hu and Sally at this drink shop was that [the milk tea is actually made with powdered milk] (& д⊙)! It tastes totally different from regular ones. Milk tea fans will definitely love it ~ because it’s especially rich and creamy. Even picky Xiao Hu recommends it... definitely worth a try :) With hot summer here, we all crave a refreshing drink every day... so ingredient quality matters even more Up～～ Even if you’re afraid of getting bored with the same flavors, their exclusive “real milk tea” is great with pearls too. Girls, you’ve got a new option now, hehe.

Taiwan Tea Channel uses imported New Zealand powdered milk – a familiar old brand from our childhood, which feels much safer. The real milk tea looks super thick ~~~ I really want another cup right now (;´锭?多). It reminds me of the milk tea I drank as a kid...

Xiao Hu did some digging... and managed to snap a photo of the tea leaves they use ^^ It’s said the boss carefully selects them, sourcing specific tea varieties directly from high-mountain tea farmers.... So much dedication.

[Cantonese-style Yuenyeung Real Milk Tea] X NT$35 / XL NT$45
The pricing at Taiwan Tea Channel is really delightful ~~~~ The large size is only 35 bucks = = And the Cantonese Yuenyeung flavor is actually quite good. Milk tea lover Sally loved it after trying it XD Xiao Hu also said the real milk tea has a longer aftertaste, unlike typical milk teas that taste a bit weak.... This one has a rich, full-bodied feel.

This is the hot milk made from powdered milk ~~~ so thick and mellow. The shop adjusts the amount of powdered milk according to the ratio, then adds their special tea blend which is super charming :) The yellowish transparent layer at the bottom is a sugar syrup brewed in-house by Taiwan Tea Channel – I’ll introduce that to you all later.

They use a generous amount of freshly prepared hot milk, adding hot tea last ~~~ You can choose black tea, green tea, oolong, or pu’er – perfect for any milk tea fan to indulge in (〃∀〃)

[Bubble Real Milk Tea]
The best-selling version of the real milk tea is the bubble pearl edition XDDD. The brewing method is the same, but with added pearls for that extra chewy texture – it’s so filling you might feel full just drinking this cup. Perfect as an afternoon pick-me-up for those long office hours..... helps you stay energized too (o´R`o)

[Cocoa]
Since Sally occasionally craves cocoa, but often finds the taste at other shops underwhelming..... this time she specifically ordered it from Taiwan Tea Channel to try ~~~ Fortunately, it didn’t disappoint (*ˇωˇ*人). And there’s even freshly whipped milk foam on top. Freshly whipped milk foam. Freshly whipped milk foam.

The cocoa is also super rich. After adjusting the sweetness to your liking, it’s quite enjoyable ^^ Girls who crave something like this during their period can give it a try Up.

Taiwan Tea Channel uses Guangquan milk to whip up that velvety milk foam ..... Sally even thought she had ordered from a café lol 0?'??%??ノ

This is the sugar syrup used by the shop – they insist on making it themselves to ensure peace of mind. Xiao Hu secretly told Sally... he even saw the owner’s kid drinking the shop’s own drinks ~~~ (Certified stamp of approval haha ~~~ We’re always worried when shops won’t even taste their own food or drinks – that makes customers nervous XD The shop owner explained..... if she wouldn’t drink it herself, she wouldn’t dare sell it to customers, feeling it’d be unethical (%?j%冤

They don’t just use one kind of sugar – to add layers of flavor to the syrup, they specially use several types of roasted sugar.

Sugar-picky Xiao Hu always asks what kind of sugar the shop uses first.... Only cane sugar can make her feel at ease = = Although Sally isn’t too picky about where the syrup comes from, she’s also wary of chemical sugars that are hard to metabolize ~~~ If you’re particularly conscious about the sugar in your drinks, Xiao Hu recommends coming to Taiwan Tea Channel – it’s better than using fructose.

[Winter Melon Lemon with Grass Jelly] ＋ Agar
This one was ordered by Xiao Hu, but Sally ended up snatching it XDDD As mentioned, picky sugar guy Xiao Hu is super selective – even about winter melon candy. So the shop owner specially showed him the winter melon brick they use ~~~~~ (two serious nerds). This winter melon brick contains only cane sugar and winter melon, and seems to be a brand specially selected by the owner.

Highly recommend this to anyone who hates bland drinks. But of course, it’s more suitable for those who can handle sour flavors XD The agar used by Taiwan Tea Channel is unsweetened ~~~ Good for those worried about gaining weight from drinks (pair it with unsweetened tea for best results).

The shop offers a variety of tea drinks, all freshly brewed the same day – no leftover tea from previous days (you can really taste the difference). The most popular is probably the oolong tea ~~~ it has a stronger tea flavor and is more thirst-quenching without added sugar (´"V%?j%撷V)

The Yongkang branch is pretty easy to find ~~~ close to Watsons :) The wooden interior decoration has a nice premium feel. When we visited, there was a steady stream of customers...... although there are many drink shops nearby, it seems they have a lot of repeat customers. We really want to go back too ~~~ next time before heading to Nanhua Dream Mall, we can grab some real milk tea again. It’s pretty close by car XD

A rare drink shop that Xiao Hu actually praises.... Taiwan Tea Channel is one of them. The real milk tea made with powdered milk leaves you craving more after drinking ~~~ it tastes richer than milk or creamer, but is so much more reassuring. Sally’s always asking to go back and buy more, but it’s still a bit far ( ´•%%%ω•%%%` ). We hope they open a branch in Kaohsiung someday ...... aside from the delicious snacks, even the drinks in Tainan are so tasty. It makes us want to move there XD
