With the increasing prevalence of smartphones, the demand for power banks and charging stations has also grown significantly. To serve travelers, Taipei Main Station has set up a “phone charging station” in the first-floor lobby starting today, available for anyone in need.

The Taipei Main Station phone charging station is a white long cabinet equipped with three-prong 110V AC outlets and three-prong USB connectors for charging, but users must bring their own charging cables. It is intended for passengers who need to charge their phones but did not bring a power bank.

However, some netizens have raised concerns that while it is a convenient service, it could also lead to long-term occupation of the stations, suggesting that usage time limits should be implemented to ensure access for those with urgent charging needs.
