A super-sized 35-cm pork cutlet rice bowl—this portion isn't for the faint of heart！If you often watch Japanese variety shows, you might be familiar with mega-sized meals, where celebrities take on oversized dishes. Japan’s official tourism e-magazine has rounded up four restaurants serving mega meals, inviting confident travelers to take on the challenge.

Asunaro Shokudo
Located in Shirakawa City, Fukushima Prefecture, Asunaro Shokudo offers two mega-sized dishes: a 35-cm diameter omurice and a 35-cm diameter pork cutlet rice bowl. The mega omurice is the shop’s dreamy signature dish, featuring a generous amount of fried egg covering a huge serving of rice. As for the mega pork cutlet rice bowl, both the egg and pork cutlet are six times the regular size, with only three portions available daily. No reservations accepted.

Fukurokujuu
This restaurant serves mega-sized dishes such as an extra-large tendon (tempura rice bowl) with giant shrimp, an extra-large tendon with karaage chicken, and a super-sized tempura rice bowl. On these enormous bowls, you’ll see mountains of shrimp tempura, karaage chicken, and tempura piled high. Mega meals must be reserved by 10:00 AM on the day.

Kurafune-ya Gyat2 Sanjo Main Store
Kurafune-ya Gyat2 Sanjo Main Store offers many Mega Burger sundaes, the largest of which is the super-giant sundae "Le Roi" for 20–25 people, priced at 600,000 yen. Due to its enormous size, please make a reservation 7 days in advance. There are also three other giant sundaes for 6–10 people, priced at 10,000, 15,000, and 18,000 yen respectively.
