With the full reopening of travel between Hong Kong and mainland China today, the Shenzhen Public Security Bureau announced this morning that starting from 00:02 on February 6, residents of Shenzhen can apply for a “one visit per week” endorsement for travel to Hong Kong from the mainland. Shenzhen residents can visit Hong Kong once a week, and the re-endorsement for the “one visit per week” program no longer requires an appointment. They can directly go to the smart endorsement area in major service halls to complete the process.

The Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau also stated that the smart visa service area offers extended hours, and to avoid long wait times due to crowded processing, the public is advised to visit during off-peak hours.

A staff member at the Exit-Entry Permit Center building of the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department said that all entry-exit permit centers in Guangzhou have resumed self-service processing for second endorsements for Hong Kong individual visits. Using the self-service endorsement machine requires an ID card and a Hong Kong-Macao Pass.

Some residents reported that using the self-service visa renewal machine took about three minutes to complete the renewal process for an individual visit to Hong Kong, and some service centers had queues forming in front of the self-service machines.
