From mid-April to early May each year is the best time to admire tung blossoms, when they bloom across the country. Although many Hakka tung blossom festivals have been canceled due to the pandemic, including the Miaoli Tung Blossom Festival, the "Summer Snow" landscape art outside the Taiwan Hakka Cultural Park uses bamboo skewers to create an image of tung blossoms on the ground, attracting many visitors to take photos with its enchanting atmosphere.

The Council of Hakka Affairs specially invited artist Mr. You Wenfu to create the "Summer Snow" landscape art at the outdoor stepped plaza of the Taiwan Hakka Cultural Park, themed "Tung Blossoms on the Ground." Using natural elements like bamboo and earth, it interprets the scene of tung blossoms falling to the ground, forming a floral carpet like a vast snowy landscape.

The "Summer Snow" landscape uses 100,000 bamboo skewers dyed in pink and snow white, arranged in gradients across the 12 steps of the plaza, presenting the feeling of tung blossoms' pure white petals to pink flower stamens. Each bamboo skewer represents a fallen tung blossom, creating a dreamy atmosphere of strolling through a tung blossom forest with the sea of skewers.

Under the sunlight of blue skies and white clouds, walking through the sea of skewers feels like stepping into a romantic May snow tung blossom forest, experiencing the artist's creative concept: "Tung blossoms are not just flowers, but an infinite imagination and beauty of a season." Meanwhile, the tung blossoms at the Taiwan Hakka Cultural Park have also begun to bloom.
