Every early April during the plum rain season, it’s the time when irises begin to bloom. Hidden among the fields and lanes of Changhua is a rustic countryside-style garden homestay, “Traveler’s Cabin ShuSu,” which features a hidden sea of irises. The vibrant purple blooms in the flower fields and ponds create a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.

Clusters of vivid purple irises, along with other flowers such as lotuses, dot the flower beds. The pond is connected by a bamboo bridge, and vintage wooden chairs are placed around for people to sit, chat, and enjoy tea, or to stroll through the purple and green sea of flowers—a perfect representation of traditional rice paddy countryside scenery. With every step on the earthy soil, you can feel the essence of rural life. Every corner of the space is filled with the charm of the fields.
